Important Notice:

Surface preparation:

Ensure your desired surface is sound. Clean the surface to remove all traces of paint, loose particles, dust, grease, mould release compounds, gypsum, and efflorescence.

It is the responsibility of the applicator to determine the presence of (salt) efflorescence prior to application. Remove efflorescence using Efflorescence Rid and apply Sealtight Clear to the affected areas to block the salt from penetrating.

Important:   Drizoro Maxseal Flex can only be applied to a wet surface. N0 primers. Just a clean damp surface. Treat areas where salt treatment are to be carried out.

Apply Drizoro Maxseal Flex flexible waterproofing membrane in these areas while the surface is still wet with Sealtight Clear.*

Repair any damaged concrete defects in advance. Patch all holes, voids and honeycombs. Open cracks to approximately 2 cm. in depth.

Exposed steel bars must be cleaned and patched with Drizoro Maxrest. Minimum 1 cm. minimum thickness. Treat steel bars with the oxide converter Drizoro Maxrest Passive (Tdb.o12).

Prior to the application of renders, adhesives etc…Recommended to apply a scratch/flick coat mixed with latex/acrylic.

Drizoro Maxseal Flex is supplied as two pre-weighed components. Pour the resin, component A, into a clean container and add the powder, component B, gradually, while mixing with a low-speed mixing drill (400 – 600 rpm). Mix to achieve a lump free homogenous mixture.

DO NOT add water and keep the liquid/powder ratio as per the packages supplied. Depending on the existing temperature and R.H. climate conditions, pot life expectancy will be between 30 minutes and one hour.

Application.

Apply Drizoro Maxseal Flex with a fibre type brush or broom such as MAXBRUSH or MAXBROOM, or by trowel. Large areas of Drizoro Maxseal Flex can be sprayed, the nozzle size is 3-4 mm. Spraying pressure is between 3.5 and 5.0 bar. When you spray Maxseal Flex. Drizoro recommends that you finish the first coat using a broom. Broom or brush presses coating into any voids completing coverage.

Consumption:

For extreme situations requiring full 9 bar positive and 4 bar, Negative waterproofing, Apply two coats, using 1 – 1,5 kg/m2 of Drizoro Maxseal Flex per coat and allow a minimum of 16 hours and a maximum of 3 days between applications.

Prior to application thoroughly wash down and saturate the surface, but do not leave free-standing water. Thickness per layer should be 1 mm. approximately, it is very important to avoid very thin or, thick applications.
Wet the surface again prior to the application of the second coat.

There is little debate over the damage that can be caused to a building or construction by the unwelcome presence of water and despite the proliferation of building defects associated with water it is a problem that is often overlooked until it is too late.

Inadequate or inefficient waterproofing can give rise to minor problems in the short term but if left unchecked, even a relatively minor situation can have devastating consequences.

Dampness on walls or other surfaces can lead to mould and mildew with the deterioration of painted surfaces that is not only unsightly but poses a threat to the welfare of those who come into contact with it.

And if the situation persists, water can ultimately destroy a wall and compromise the integrity of the whole structure, whether it be a home, factory, reservoir, tank or swimming pool.

Fortunately, this is a situation that can be completely and easily avoided by appropriate waterproofing, and at the Online Waterproofing Shop we supply a range of high-quality products that are suitable for all applications. The Drizoro Maxseal family of products are all designed and produced to seal and waterproof surfaces and bring an end to problems of dampness and water damage.

Drizoro Maxseal Flex, which is available in either white or grey provides a protective waterproof coating that is suitable for both positive and negative water pressure as it offers excellent properties of adhesion that successfully combats negative pressure that can often disrupt alternative remedies.

Following the simple guide and utilising appropriate tools will make the application of Drizoro Maxseal Flex a straightforward operation that guarantees excellent long-lasting results, but should you be searching for a rapid solution that can be completed in one day, then Maxseal Flex Express, that does not require an extended period between the application of first and second coats will be the choice for you.

Maxseal Flex will come to you as two components that require mixing, but beyond that, no bonding agents or primers are necessary, and due to its formulation works on damp surfaces, so there is no requirement to allow an affected area to dry out before use.

When fully cured and cleaned Maxseal Flex provides a non-toxic, flexible and impermeable layer of protection for a wide range of uses, including those that involve contact with drinking water.

Added benefits of Drizoro Maxseal Flex are that it is resistant to salt water and is unaffected by UV or extremes of temperature and can withstand repeated freezing and thawing with no degradation. And as it also provides a barrier to CO2 and chlorine it protects surfaces from carbonation and electrochemical corrosion.

At The Online Waterproofing Shop, we have everything that you could possibly need to treat and prevent water damage to your property – but if you are unsure which product is the right choice for your situation, our team of friendly experts are waiting to hear from to you to point you in the right direction.

Don’t delay – don’t let water ruin your property with Drizoro Constructions products you increase the longevity of, and reduce maintenance costs over the life of the structure.

Detecting the presence of water seeping through your basement wall no longer needs to be cause for panic as it may have been in the past, because now Drizoro Maxseal Flex, available from the Online Waterproofing Shop can help fix your problem with the minimum of fuss.

Simple to apply, this two-constituent product merely needs mixing prior to application and requires no supplementary bonding or thinning agents to be applied. Remember, to apply to a clean damp surface.

And when you have applied Drizoro Maxseal Flex you will not only have put paid to the damaging presence of dampness but you will have created an outstanding level of protection for your structure.

Suitable for concrete and other masonry such as brick and stone this product delivers outstanding performance; resistant to positive and negative water pressure and offering protection against chlorine, UV and freezing, Maxseal Flex has a multitude of uses, not just dealing with leaks.

Prevention is always better than cure and the application of this outstanding waterproofing material can protect new buildings, is suitable for use in swimming pools, dams and water treatment plants (kitchens and bathrooms) and is even suitable for use in water tanks holding drinking water, as it is both inert and non-toxic.

Drizoro Maxseal Flex is available in three handy sizes – 7, 14 and 35kg packs, and comes in a choice of white or grey finish. The quantity that you require will be dependant upon the specific application, but if you are unsure as to how much you require, simply contact us at the Online Waterproofing Shop and we will be delighted to advise you.
