To be applied over leaking tiled surfaces. Like a shower or balcony deck to form a waterproof barrier without the need to remove the original tiled surfaces.

It is formulated to perform under UV exposure and sunlight and is designed for rectification works where the original appearance of the substrate is desired without removing tiles.

   Normally Remedial-waterproofing of tiled surfaces comes with the lengthy process of removing tiles, screed, failed waterproofing and waste material.
   Followed by application of a new waterproofing membrane. New screed, then waterproofing this new screed and finally re-tiling the area.
   Whereas with CMA Clearcoat, you have a simpler process. Just simply apply the product using a brush or foam roller to seal the area.

Compatibility testing is required prior to application.

• Always apply to a completely dry surface free of dampness and/or moisture.
• Good preparation is essential. Surfaces must be dry, clean, sound, stable, and free of dust, grease, loose, flaking, friable material and other contamination and substances.
• Cracked, damaged or loose grout between tiles or boarders must be completely removed and re-grouted. Cracked tiles should also be replaced first.
• Surface to be wash with detergent and/or bleach and washed off with clean water and allowed to dry thoroughly.

Preparation for Application CMA Ultra TrafficCoat

1. Remove Moss and mould with a solution of 1-part bleach to 2- parts water Wash off with clean water and allow to thoroughly dry.
2. Cracked/damaged or loose grout between tiles/boarders must be completely removed, re-grouted and allowed to cure.
3. Replace all Cracked tiles for best results.
4. Repair Cracks and imperfections in concrete/render/screeds with Drizoro Maxrest or other suitable repair mortar.
5. Dilute additional coats with water at a ratio of 2 parts to 1 part water and applied using a brush or roller. Always mix thoroughly using an electric drill mixer at a low speed.
6. CLEARCOAT Transparent Membrane is a 2-3 coat system.
7. Allow a minimum of 4 hours between coats and 5-7 days full cure after final coat at 25° and 50% R.H.
8. We recommend you apply all coats within 48 hours to avoid surface contamination between coats.
9. Minimum dry film thickness – 0.5mm (500 micron) over joints, grout lines, mortar joints, concrete and level surfaces. 0.2mm (200 microns) over tiles.
10. For a slip resistant finish – Apply the first coat and whilst still wet broadcast fine Silica Sand and allow to dry. Blow off excess Silica Sand before applying additional coats.
11. As a Guide 1 kg diluted ratio mix (2 parts CLEARCOAT to 1 part water) will cover approximately 4.5m2 per 2 coats. Apply in multiple thin coats as recommended.
