Method
- Preparation: Remove all loose materials from the area to be treated. Ensure area is clean and sound surface.
- Remove efflorescence with Efflorescence Rid
- Repair any damaged surfaces with Maxrest.
- Replace any Missing mortar lines or concrete. Use Maxrest or Maxjoint Elastic if movement is required.
- Thoroughly wet the entire surface before applying the coating by brush or broom.
a. Use Maxseal Flex or Maxseal Flex M on previously treated surfaces. Or surfaces subject to movement.
b. Use Maxseal Foundation where there are no previous coatings. NO movement is expected.
C. All products require two coats. - Use DRIZORO products as the finish coat, alternatively paint, tile, cement, or acrylic render as required.
- Apply a flick coat of 3 parts cement to 1 part washed crushed river sand and allow to dry prior to cement rendering.
- If Efflorescence is present contact the office before the application of the waterproofing membrane
